Mission Statement

Sharing Christ, Equipping Believers, Serving People

Vision Statement

Our vision is to promote God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven… proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to every person and equipping every believer to become authentic and effective followers of Jesus Christ.

Core Values

We are a church with a diversity of cultures, gifts, values and passions.  Yet we are all one Body, called to be in unity with God and His mission.  Our core values are summarized in the following 9 statements:

Value 1:  We believe God’s Word is our written authority.  Therefore, we will live according to His truth and train our members to observe all things he has commanded us.  II Timothy 3:16-17, John 17:17, Hebrews 4:12-13

Value 2:  We believe God loves the whole world, but the whole world does not know Him.  Therefore, we will share our lives and the teachings of the Gospel to bridge the gap between God and every person.

Matthew 18:14, II Peter 3:9, Matthew 28:19-20.

Value 3:  We believe that spiritual gifts are granted to every member of the Body of Christ equally.  Therefore we support the intentional involvement of the diversity of our congregation at every level.  I Corinthians 12, Romans 12:1-8, Ephesians 4:11-13

Value 4:  We believe that worship is a lifestyle.  Therefore the worship of God is to be applied to every area of our lives.  Micah 6:8, Matthew 22:37, I Corinthians 10:31

Value 5:  We believe the church is missional.  Therefore, every member is loved, respected and equipped to use his or her gifts to promote the Kingdom of God inside and outside the Body of Christ.  John 17:15-19, Acts 1:8, Matthew 5:13-16

Value 6:  We believe prayer is instrumental in everything.  Therefore, we will integrate prayer in the life and ministry of our church.  Philippians 4:6-7, Jeremiah 33:2-3, Romans 8:26-27

Value 7:  We believe the church should be relevant to every person and every culture.  Therefore, we will intentionally strive to be cross-cultural in identifying with others as Jesus did and transforming the culture, by leading others to life change as Jesus did through our relationships, our resources, our structure and our leadership.  I Corinthian 9:19-23, Mark 10:42-45, I Thessalonians 1:6-9

Value 8:  We believe God’s Spirit calls, convicts and empowers.  Therefore, we will trust in his Holy Spirit to empower us in all that we do.  John 6:44, Isaiah 6:1-8, John 16:8-11

Value 9:  We believe God calls His followers to be authentic and wholly dedicated.  Therefore, we expect our members to be involved in the study of God’s word, to participate with integrity in unified fellowship, stewardship, missions, ministry and worship.  Acts 2:42-47, I John 4:7-12, I John 5:1-2
