Pastor Charles Brown
Charles Brown (Charlie) is a graduate of Mesquite High School, Texas A&M Commerce and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Upon graduation from seminary in 1978, Charlie and his wife Glenda moved to Seattle, Washington. There he served as Director of Baptist Student Ministries at the University of Washington for five years.

In 1983 he moved to Austria where he and his family served for twelve years with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

In 1995 he returned to Mesquite, Texas. During that year he worked as a chaplain in the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Children’s Medical Center, refining his skills in the areas of leadership and pastoral care. Following a desire to remain on the cutting edge of reaching people for Christ, Charlie became the pastor of The Crossing Baptist Church in November 1996.

Charlie is married to the former Glenda Wierick. Glenda is active in various ministries of The Crossing including Children's worship, music and women's ministry. Their children include Greg, Bradley and Danny, daughter-in-law Jenni and grandsons Micah and Lance.
