Pastor Charles Brown
Charles Brown (Charlie) is a graduate of Mesquite High School, Texas A&M Commerce and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Upon graduation from seminary in 1978, Charlie and his wife Glenda moved to Seattle, Washington. There he served as Director of Baptist Student Ministries at the University of Washington for five years.

In 1983 he moved to Austria where he and his family served for twelve years with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

In 1995 he returned to Mesquite, Texas. During that year he worked as a chaplain in the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Children’s Medical Center, refining his skills in the areas of leadership and pastoral care. Following a desire to remain on the cutting edge of reaching people for Christ, Charlie became the pastor of The Crossing Baptist Church in November 1996.

Charlie is married to the former Glenda Wierick. Glenda is active in various ministries of The Crossing including Children's worship, music and women's ministry. Their children include Greg, wife Jenni, and sons Micah, Lance and Brett; Bradley, wife Amanda, and son Joshua; Danny, and wife Kimmie.

Will Cook, Minister of Students

Will Cook joined The Crossing in June 2008 as our Youth Pastor. Will is a graduate of Valdosta State University and is currently seeking a degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. Will and his wife, Claire, both love helping teenagers see the truth the Bible reveals about God to help them understand what being a follower of Jesus Christ is all about.

Rod Hite, Worship Pastor

Rod came to The Crossing in March of 2008 as our Interim Music Pastor; in December 2008 he and his family joined the church and ministry as our Worship Pastor. Rod has a heart to see all people worship the Lord and encounter Him in their everyday lives.

Rod is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University and attended seminary at the Southwestern Theological Seminary extension in Houston. He has lived in a several states (Michigan, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Alaska) but calls Texas home now. His wife Linda and he have been married for 18 years and have two great sons Tim & Matt that keep them busy.

Julie Galindo, Office Manager

Julie has been a part of The Crossing staff since 2007. Shortly after becoming the Office Manager she also became a member of our congregation. Julie is actively involved in our church and also teaches the Kindergarten - First Grade Bible Drills, Skills and Thrills on Wednesday evenings.

Julie is married to Luciano Galindo and has two sons, Davian and Jaden.
